DONALD D. ALLEN is of counsel with the law firm of Markus Williams Young & Zimmermann LLC. Mr. Allen has more than 25 years of experience with bankruptcy court litigation in bankruptcy courts from Colorado and California to Delaware, New York and Nevada. He is a business bankruptcy specialist certified by the American Board of Certification. Mr. Allen has presented numerous continuing professional education seminars dealing with bankruptcy, foreclosure, real estate and title issues. He also served as an instructor of business law at the University of Phoenix for five years. Mr. Allen earned his B.A. degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and his J.D. degree from the University of Santa Clara, where he was an editor for the Santa Clara Law Review and earned the Trial Attorney's Outstanding Oral Advocate Award. He is a former co-chair of the Colorado Bar Association bankruptcy subsections and a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Turnaround Management Association. CHARLES D. CALVIN is of counsel in Denver with the law firm of Faegre & Benson LLP. His practice emphasizes commercial real estate finance, resort development and condominium development. Mr. Calvin earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Pomona College and his J.D. degree from Yale Law School. He has lectured to various professional groups on real estate topics. Mr. Calvin is a member of the Colorado (member, Real Estate Section, Business Law Section), Denver (member, Real Estate Section, Business Law Section) and American bar associations. He also is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. CHRISTIAN C. ONSAGER is a principal in the firm of Onsager, Staelin & Guyerson, LLC. The firm handles all aspects of business law, with emphasis on insolvency matters for all types of creditors and debtors. Before starting his current firm, Mr. Onsager was general counsel to The Broe Companies, Inc. Prior to his hiatus from timesheets, he was a partner at Faegre & Benson, LLP, from 1988 until 1999, heading its Denver bankruptcy practice from 1994 on. Some of Mr. Onsager's major bankruptcy cases include: Creditor counsel - In re Centrix Financial; Debtor's counsel - In re Western Pacific Airlines, Inc.; Creditor Committee counsel - In re Hawaiian Airlines, Inc.; Creditor Committee Counsel - In re Cray Computer, Inc.; and Debtor's counsel - In re Continental Airlines, Inc. For his first 12 years of practice, however, he learned how to foreclose on, repossess, liquidate and litigate about almost anything. Mr. Onsager earned his B.A. degree from Yale University and his J.D. degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law. ROBERT W. REED is a Colorado native who graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law. Mr. Reed's practice has included virtually all aspects of real estate lending, including loan origination, workouts, foreclosure, deeds in lieu of foreclosure, receivership and lien priority disputes. In addition to his mortgage lending practice, he is frequently retained by title insurance companies to represent insureds in lien priority disputes, boundary disputes and other real estate litigation. During the current economic downturn, Mr. Reed has been increasingly involved with assisting owners, lenders and real estate brokers in negotiating short sales. He is licensed to practice in the state of Colorado, and has been admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in the state of Colorado. Mr. Reed is a member of the American Bar Association (Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section), the Colorado Bar Association (Real Property Section), the 1st Judicial District Bar Association, the Bench-Bar Committee of the 1st Judicial District and the Professionalism Committee of the 1st Judicial District. DOUGLAS M. TISDALE is a member of Tisdale & Associates LLC, in Denver. He practices in the areas of commercial transactions/litigation, banking litigation, international law, real estate, and reorganizations and restructurings. Mr. Tisdale is the former Mayor Pro Tem and council member in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado. He has nationally recognized experience in the fields of bankruptcy, commercial default/enforcement and real estate litigation, and also has helped clients in the successful resolution of all levels of commercial disputes. Mr. Tisdale also is a frequent speaker on real estate and land use matters for various business and professional groups. He earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Michigan. Mr. Tisdale is a member of the Denver and Colorado bar associations.
