CHRISTINE E. BAUR is a principal of the Law Office of Christine E. Baur, located in San Diego, where she practices in the area of commercial bankruptcy, insolvency counseling, financial restructuring, and creditors' rights. Baur in 2009, she was a partner at Baker & McKenzie LLP. DAVID W. BRODY is the principle of the Law Offices of David W. Brody, P.C. in La Jolla, California, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of consumer, commercial, and real estate litigation and bankruptcy. His clients include some of California's largest and smallest banks, credit corporations, leasing companies and general business companies. Mr. Brody has been representing financial institutions throughout California for 25 years. He is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, the San Diego County Bankruptcy Forum and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Mr. Brody was the president of the San Diego County Bankruptcy Forum in 2008 and a member of the Board of Directors of the San Diego and California Bankruptcy Forums from 2006-2008. He has served as chairman of the Commercial Law Section of the San Diego County Bar Association. Mr. Brody has lectured on bankruptcy and commercial law to various groups, most recently on May 8, 2009 for the National Business Institute with Southern District of California Bankruptcy Judges Peter W. Bowie and Laura S. Taylor on "Bankruptcy Forum: What Judges and Trustees Want You to Know." He earned his B.S. degree from Southern Connecticut State University and his J.D. degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. MARIA K. PUM is a partner in the law firm of Henderson, Caverly, Pum & Charney LLP, and chair of the firm's insolvency, restructuring and business law practices. Ms. Pum has been an attorney for more than 25 years and focuses her practice on corporate insolvency and bankruptcy, and commercial and real property transactions. She has written various articles and has spoken to many groups, including the California Bankers' Association, where she spoke about "Bankruptcy Issues Raised by Cash Management Services." Ms. Pum has been named one of the "Top Southern California Lawyers" by Los Angeles Magazine and a Southern California "Super Lawyer" from 2006 to 2010. She is a member of the State Bar of California (Member, Insolvency Law Subcommittee, Business Law Section) and the American Bar Association. Ms. Pum earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of California at Los Angeles and her J.D. degree from the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law.
