VADIM R. ALDEN is the founder and managing attorney of Alden Law PC, where he focuses his practice in the areas of litigation, business transactions and employment law. Mr. Alden serves as general counsel to several established and emerging companies in the Bay area, providing legal counsel in the areas of business entity creation, contract negotiation and formation, executive compensation, employment and labor law, intellectual property, and general risk management, as well as general business and operational advice. Before founding Alden Law PC, he worked at both large and mid-size law firms in the San Francisco Bay area, representing foreign and domestic clients in corporate, employment, products liability and regulatory compliance matters in California and other U.S. states and territories. Mr. Alden earned his B.A. degree from Claremont McKenna College and his J.D. degree from Santa Clara University School of Law. MARC L. JACUZZI is a principal with the firm of Simpson, Garrity, Innes & Jacuzzi, P.C., in South San Francisco. He has a broad experience in employment law matters. Mr. Jacuzzi has represented numerous employers as defendants in civil rights actions. His practice also involves employment law counseling. Mr. Jacuzzi regularly advises clients regarding all aspects of the employer/employee relationship, including hiring and termination issues, wage and hour requirements, employee classification issues, civil rights/discrimination issues, commission plans, employment contracts, employee handbooks and policies, confidential information agreements, reductions in force, leaves of absence issues, employment audits, M&A employment issues, violence in the workplace issues, and international employment issues. He also has conducted numerous in-house training programs on a number of employment law topics. Mr. Jacuzzi earned his B.A. degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and his J.D. degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of California, Colorado Bar Association, American Bar Association, San Francisco Bar Association (Labor and Employment sections), U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. LORRAINE P. OCHELTREE is a partner in the law firm of Duane Morris LLP, where she practices in the areas of employment law and civil litigation. She has defended employers in both state and federal court from claims, including wrongful discharge, race, gender, age, sexual orientation and disability discrimination; as well as racial and sexual harassment, ADA-compliance, labor code violations, defamation, interference with contract, and wage and hour disputes. Ms. Ocheltree's practice includes providing preventative advice on all aspects of the employer/employee relationship, such as employment applications and the hiring process, employment agreements, arbitration, classification of personnel, protection of trade secrets, policy manuals, ADA-compliance, personnel leaves, progressive discipline, severance, termination, and administrative proceedings. She has reviewed and drafted employment agreements, personnel policies and handbooks; and has litigated claims involving mandatory arbitration, non-competition clauses, anti-solicitation provisions and the protection of company trade secrets. Ms. Ocheltree has trained employees, supervisors and business owners on how to prevent claims from arising in the workplace. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Northern California Human Resources Association and Queen's Bench. She earned her B.A. degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and her J.D. degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law. KRISTIN L. OLIVEIRA is of counsel with Curiale Hirschfeld Kraemer, LLP and practices in the firm's San Francisco office. She concentrates her practice in wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination matters, class action wage and hour litigation, employment advice and counsel, and internal workplace investigations. Ms. Oliveira has more than ten years of experience litigating employment cases in federal and state courts. She has a long history of achieving favorable results for clients on, among other things, discrimination complaints pending with the EEOC and state equal employment opportunity agencies; as well as wage and hour complaints filed with the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement. Prior to joining Curiale Hirschfeld Kraemer, LLP, Ms. Oliveira represented Fortune 100 companies in employment matters at a well respected San Francisco firm. She is a member of the Bar Association of San Francisco and the Queen's Bench. Ms. Oliveira earned her B.S. degree from Northeastern University and her J.D. degree from Washington University School of Law.
