GARY SCOTT DECKER is a partner and principal in the Sacramento law firm of Richardson & Decker, where his areas of practice include business and civil litigation, legal ethics litigation and counseling, workers' compensation subrogation, state and federal appeals, alternative dispute resolution, and insurance coverage law. He has published articles in the field of legal ethics and professional responsibility and has lectured for the Capitol City Trial Lawyers Association, the Sacramento Bar Association, America's Legal Seminars and National Business Institute on the subjects of civil procedure, evidence and trial practice; legal ethics and professional responsibility; and workers' compensation subrogation and litigation, as well as having written and presented materials for various civil trial practice paralegal seminars. Mr. Decker is a past president of the Sacramento County Bar Association and delegate to the State Bar Conference of Delegates. He is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted in both the 9th and 11th Circuit Courts of Appeals. Mr. Decker is also a judicial arbitrator and settlement conference judge, pro tempore, for the Sacramento County Superior Court, and has worked as a special master and uninsured motorist arbitrator, as well as a designated expert in legal malpractice litigation. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of California at Davis and his J.D. degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
