ANDY COOK is a sole practitioner in San Diego, where his areas of practice include: divorce, child custody, spousal and child support, property, and domestic violence matters. He has handled well over 1,000 cases, including over 40 matters that he has tried to judgment. Mr. Cook is certified as a family law specialist by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization. He also frequently serves as a small claims court judge and has filled in a number of times as a judge pro tem in the Family Support Division of the San Diego County Superior Court. Mr. Cook has served as a court appointed attorney for minor children. He has lectured to a variety of audiences about legal subjects and has been a guest speaker on numerous occasions for CWSL's elective course on starting a law practice. Mr. Cook also has testified in court as an expert witness in legal malpractice as it relates to family law. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Vermont and his J.D. degree from California Western School of Law, where he was an honors instructor for first year law students. Mr. Cook is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association (Family Law Section), the State Bar of California (Family Law Section), and Business Networking International (BNI). He also is a member of the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists and the San Diego County Certified Family Law Specialists. Mr. Cook was part of LeTip International for nearly ten years prior to joining BNI.
