HON. BARRY RUSSELL has been a bankruptcy judge in the Central District of California since 1974. During this tenure, he has been the chief judge for the Central District (2003-2007), served on the Appellate Panel for the Ninth Circuit (1988-2001) and served as the presiding judge for the BAP (1999-2001). He has been on the faculty of the Federal Judicial Center since 1977 and an adjunct professor at UCLA, USC, Loyola and Whittier Law Schools. Judge Russell has received the American Bar Association's Franklin N. Flaschner Judicial Award as the Outstanding Judge in the United States in a trial court of special jurisdiction, the Judges' Award given by the Southern California Mediation Association, the Emil Gumpert Judicial ADR Award given by the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Dispute Resolution Services, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association Outstanding Jurist Award. Judge Russell received his B.S. and J.D. degrees at the University of California at Los Angeles. LEON D. BAYER is a founding partner in the law firm of Bayer, Wishman & Leotta. A practicing attorney since 1979, Mr. Bayer is a Certified Specialist, Consumer and Small Business Bankruptcy Law, by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. He is a frequent law lecturer, including speaking at programs on recent developments in bankruptcy law at the State Bar of California Annual Meeting, and most recently has written chapters in two separate upcoming consumer bankruptcy publications for Aspatore Books-Thomson Reuters. Mr. Bayer is a past president of the Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum. He earned his B.A. degree from California State University at Northridge and his J.D. degree from the University of La Verne College of Law. HOWARD M. EHRENBERG has been a member of the Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Panel of Trustees, appointed by the Office of the United States Trustee since 1995, and Credentialed State Court Receiver. A member of the law firm of SulmeyerKupetz, Mr. Ehrenberg is certified as a Business Bankruptcy Law Specialist by the American Bankruptcy Board of Certification. He is an active member of the Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum, the Financial Lawyers Conference, American Bankruptcy Institute and Council of Certified Bankruptcy Specialists. Every year since 2004, Mr. Ehrenberg has been selected as a Southern California Super Lawyer. He has served as a member of the Executive Board of the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Mr. Ehrenberg graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a B.A. degree in Rhetoric, and earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California. HELEN R. FRAZER is a partner in the Cerritos office of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo. Ms. Frazer is a specialist in the area of bankruptcy and currently serves on the Panel of Chapter 7 Trustees in Los Angeles County. She has been certified as a specialist in the area of bankruptcy by the Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California. She also handles real estate and commercial law matters and advises clients in drafting contracts and agreements. Ms. Frazer formerly served as the senior attorney in charge of the Bankruptcy Department for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Costa Mesa Field Office, and as counsel under the FSLIC Management Consignment Program to Butterfield Savings and Loan Association. She is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section, the Financial Lawyers Conference, and is a former director of both the Los Angeles County and Orange County Bankruptcy Forums. Ms. Frazer earned her B.A. degree from the University of Southern California and her J.D. degree from Southwestern Law School. AMY L. GOLDMAN serves as a co-chair for the firm-wide Bankruptcy and Insolvency Department in the law firm of Lewis, Brisbois, Bisgaard & Smith LLP. She has more than 20 years' experience in the bankruptcy field and is a Chapter 7 Panel Trustee for the Central District of California (1998-present). Ms. Goldman is a member of the Board of Directors and a past president of both the California Bankruptcy Forum and the Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum. She is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute. Ms. Goldman earned her B.A. degree from the University of California Los Angeles and her J.D. degree from Loyola Law School. JOHN P. PRINGLE is a principal in the Los Angeles law firm of Roquemore, Pringle & Moore, Inc. Mr. Pringle has extensive experience in bankruptcy, including serving as a member of the Panel of Bankruptcy Trustees for the Central District of California. His cases include operating cases, liquidation and pursuit of fraudulent transfers. He is a member of the California State Bar, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Inns of Court, the Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum, and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees. Mr. Pringle earned his B.S. degree from the University of Southern California and his J.D. degree from Southwestern University School of Law. DAVID SEROR is a partner in the Bankruptcy Department of Ervin Cohen & Jessup LLP. His practice areas include bankruptcy and receivership and litigation. Mr. Seror is a member of the Panel of Trustees for Chapters 7 and 11 Bankruptcy cases, United States Trustee's Office, Central District of California (1990-present). He is authorized to work as Judge Pro Tem, Los Angeles Municipal Court and Judge Pro Tem, Superior Court of the State of California for the County of Los Angeles. Ms. Weil has been an attorney for more than 28 years and has extensive experience in virtually all aspects of bankruptcy and insolvency related matters. Ms. Weil is a member of the Panel of Trustees for Chapter 7 Cases for the Central District of California. She has received specialized training in mediation and has been appointed to the Panel of Mediators for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California (1995-present). FOX is a sole practitioner in Encino, where he limits his practice to representing debtors and creditors in bankruptcy and business reorganization. He represents businesses, individual debtors and creditors in Chapter 11 business reorganization cases; represents creditors in Chapter 13; and represents litigants in adversary proceedings.
