HON. RONALD H. SARGIS has served as a U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge in the Eastern District of California since January 2010. Prior to the bench, Judge Sargis practiced law since 1982, focusing in the areas of creditors' rights and bankruptcy law. Judge Sargis is a member of the Commercial Law League of America and holds a CLLA certification as a creditors' rights specialist. He earned his A.B. degree from Stanford University and his J.D. degree, with distinction, from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific. NEIL L. ENMARK is staff attorney for L.J. Loheit, Chapter 13 Trustee. Mr. Enmark has represented bankruptcy trustees since he became a member of the California bar in 1992, and has managed their computer systems since before he started law school. He earned his undergraduate degree in history at the University of California at Berkeley and his J.D. degree at San Joaquin College of Law. Mr. Enmark serves on the Clerk's Attorney Advisory Committee, and is one of the prior directors of the Sacramento Valley Bankruptcy Forum. STEPHEN M. REYNOLDS is a partner in the Davis law firm of Lundgren & Reynolds, LLP. Since 1997, he has primarily focused on representing businesses and individuals in bankruptcy court, and he has substantial experience with bankruptcy-related issues, including Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and Chapter 13. Mr. Reynolds served as a Chapter 7 Trustee from 1997 to 2008, and he presently is the plan administrator for Chapter 11 cases. He is the director and former president of the Davis Food Co-op. Mr. Reynolds is a past president of the Bankruptcy/Commercial Law Section of the Sacramento Bar Association and a past director of the Sacramento Valley Bankruptcy Forum. He earned his B.A. degree at the University of California at Santa Cruz and his J.D. degree at the University of California Davis School of Law. MODERATOR - JULIA P. GIBBS is a sole practitioner of the Law Office of Julia P. Gibbs in Sacramento, where she practices in the area of bankruptcy. She previously has lectured on bankruptcy. Ms. Gibbs is the co-editor of the ABI Litigation Community Newsletter. She is certified as an expert in business bankruptcy law by the American Board of Certification. She served two terms on the Insolvency Law Committee of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of California where she participated in the drafting of legislation and spoke at several state bar meetings. Ms. Gibbs earned her B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from Santa Clara University and her J.D. degree from UCLA School of Law. She is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the California Bankruptcy Forum, the Sacramento Valley Bankruptcy Forum and the Commercial Law Section of the Sacramento County Bar Association.
