JAYSON T. JAVITZ is an experienced real estate attorney and also is a licensed real estate broker. Mr. Javitz is legal counsel to a group of commercial property investment partnerships and is corporate counsel to a fuel distribution company with substantial real estate holdings in multiple states. Previously, he had practiced with two national business law firms. Mr. Javitz's real estate practice involves multi-million dollar transactions along with complex litigation. He earned his law degree from U.C. Berkeley's Boalt Hall School of Law. MORGAN T. JONES III is an attorney at the law firm of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. Mr. Jones specializes in commercial lending and real property secured transactions and workouts, as well as commercial real estate. His lending practice has emphasized the full spectrum of complex financing transactions, but it has also included extensive representation of lenders with high volume lending programs. As an in-house bank lawyer, his practice included counseling and representation in all aspects of lending, corporate, operations and regulatory matters and dispute resolution. Mr. Jones has conducted training programs for commercial lending and loan administration personnel at commercial banks on lending, environmental law and lender liability, and he has spoken and written on lending, workouts and foreclosures and foreign investment. His publications include articles on contractual waivers of one-action and anti-deficiency protections by debtors in workouts and risks associated with REO. Mr. Jones received his B.A. degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara, his M.A. degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and his J.D. degree from the University of California Los Angeles School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of California (member, Real Property and Business Law sections). JOSEPH W. SCALIA is a sole practitioner in Roseville, California, where he practices in the areas of business law, construction law, sports law, entertainment law, employment law and real estate litigation. He has been a licensed real estate broker in the state of California since 1982. Mr. Scalia has served as a judge pro tem for the Sacramento Superior Court and as an arbitrator with the Sacramento County Judicial Arbitration Association. He also has served as a member on the panel of arbitrations for the American Arbitration Association and as a mediator in alternative dispute resolutions for El Dorado County Superior Court. Mr. Scalia earned his B.A. degree, with honors, from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. He has served as a panelist for National Business Institute in the area of limited liability companies. Mr. Scalia is a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association and the State Bar of California. ROBERT J. WOOD is an associate in the real estate practice group in the Sacramento office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. Mr. Wood focuses his practice on the representation of lenders in commercial loan transactions, real estate transactions, workouts and restructurings. He also is an experienced litigator, having successfully represented clients in matters involving complex commercial loan defaults, collateral repossession, real property foreclosures, defense of "lender liability" and other tort claims, bankruptcy proceedings under chapters 7 and 11, unlawful detainers, and judgment enforcement proceedings. Mr. Wood earned his B.A. degree from Occidental College and his J.D. degree from UCLA School of Law.
