BRIAN J. BURT is a partner with Snell & Wilmer L.L.P., a full-service business law firm, with over 400 attorneys practicing in eight offices throughout the western United States and Mexico. Mr. Burt also serves as chair of the firm's emerging business group. He is a business lawyer advising entrepreneurs and emerging growth companies in all stages of development, from formation to liquidity. Mr. Burt also represents banks, financial services companies, private investors and venture capital funds. Mr. Burt earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Allegheny College, where he was class valedictorian and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his J.D. degree from Harvard Law School, where he served as managing editor of the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy. JEFFREY B. FUGAL is a partner with the Phoenix law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP. His practice focuses on corporate, limited liability company and partnership law and transactional tax planning for businesses in connection with business formation, restructuring, recapitalizations, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and real estate ventures. Mr. Fugal is a frequent lecturer on various federal income tax topics. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court. Mr. Fugal earned his B.A. degree from Brigham Young University, his J.D. degree from Indiana University and his LL.M. degree from the University of Denver. He is a member of the State Bar of Arizona (former chairperson, Tax Section), and the Maricopa and American bar associations. SUSAN M. WISSINK is an attorney with Fennemore Craig, P.C. Ms. Wissink chairs the firm's business and finance practice and practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities, general corporate law and commercial real estate. She has represented both buyers and sellers in numerous complex transactions, including asset and stock based acquisitions and sales, mergers and other business reorganizations. Ms. Wissink has presented at numerous seminars on her main areas of practice. She is a director and immediate past chair of the Arizona Humane Society, president of the P.A.N.D.A., director of the Children's Museum of Phoenix, member of the State Bar of Arizona (Appointments Committee), member of the American Bar Association-Young Lawyers Division (Leadership Advisory Board and Executive Committee), member of the State Bar of California and administrative director of the American Bar Association-Young Lawyers Division.
