SCOTT M. CLARK is the founding managing partner of his 25 year old firm, regarded as the state's most prominent residential multi-family property practice. He is a highly sought after speaker and lecturer on a regional and national basis, for a broad range of topical, specialty and nascent matters affecting the industry. Mr. Clark's practice has grown to include specializations in a variety of emergent and developing issues, and specific expertise in the established areas of traditional real estate asset representation such as forcible detainer, fair housing, employment and discrimination law, regulatory and governmental affairs, environmental, general asset protection and risk mitigation and management practice. Mr. Clark serves as a board director of the Arizona Multihousing Association and a key member of the organization's Government Affairs, Political Action and Ethics committees. Mr. Clark is licensed to practice in both Arizona and California, and has made application for admittance to both Oregon and Washington. JOSHUA M. DEERE is an attorney in the Mesa law firm of Koglmeier Smith, P.L.C. Mr. Deere focuses his practice on landlord-tenant law and related litigation. He has lectured for attorneys, property managers and other real estate professionals on matters related to fair housing and landlord-tenant law. Mr. Deere was previously an adjunct professor at Mesa Community College. He is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and the Utah State Bar. Mr. Deere earned his B.A. degree from Brigham Young University and his J.D. degree from the University of Tennessee. J. MARK HELDENBRAND is the president of J. Mark Heldenbrand , PC, a Phoenix-based civil litigation firm. Since 1991, Mr. Heldenbrand's individual practice has focused on residential landlord-tenant law and collection law. He has presented seminars at State Bar of Arizona sponsored seminars, the Arizona School of Real Estate and Business, the Institute of Real Estate Management and the Arizona Multihousing Association. He is a charter member of the Association of Landlord-Tenant Attorneys. Mr. Heldenbrand graduated from the University of Oklahoma, where he earned his B.B.A. degree in accounting. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
