LISA PERRY BANEN is an attorney with the law firm of Lane & Nach, P.C., where her practice emphasizes bankruptcy trustee representation and creditors' rights. She has worked in private practice in Phoenix, concentrating in the areas of real estate foreclosures, creditors' rights in bankruptcy and commercial litigation. From 1997 to 2004, Ms. Banen worked as assistant attorney general in the Tax, Bankruptcy and Collection Enforcement Section, where she represented state agencies including the Arizona Department of Revenue, Department of Transportation and Department of Environmental Quality in bankruptcy-related matters. She earned her J.D. degree from Cornell Law School and is a graduate of Moorhead State University, Minnesota. CYNTHIA L. FULTON is an attorney in the Phoenix law firm of Fulton Friedman & Gullace, LLP, where her practice consists primarily of creditor rights matters. Ms. Fulton represents collection agencies in matters of fair debt collection practices and fair credit reporting compliance, as well as licensing and regulatory issues and debt purchasers. She is an attorney member of the American Collector's Association, and acted for several years as the MAP chairman for the state of Arizona. Ms. Fulton earned her A.B. degree from Goucher College and her J.D. degree from the University of Memphis. DAVID LIPPMAN is a shareholder at Burton Lippman Law Group, P.C., with offices in Phoenix and Tucson. Mr. Lippman, along with his law partner, Stephen D. Burton, devote their entire practice to both retail and commercial debt collection, FDCPA defense, and complex insurance subrogation recovery. He has worked in the collection industry for more than 29 years. Mr. Lippman frequently instructs, lectures and writes about the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). He earned his bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, in electronic commerce, from Northeastern University and his J.D. degree from Suffolk University Law School. Mr. Lippman is a member of NARCA (National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys), CLLA (The Commercial Law League of America), NASP (National Association of Subrogation Professionals), the State Bar of Arizona, the American Bar Association, and the ACA International, as well, as the Arizona Collectors Association. He is the former MAP (Members Attorney Program) chair for the state of Arizona and served on the board of the Arizona Collector's Association. Mr. Lippman is admitted to practice in the 9th Circuit Court for the District of Arizona and all Arizona Justice and Superior Courts.
