May 24 - Tucson STEVEN M. COX is a shareholder in the Tucson law firm of Waterfall, Economidis, Caldwell, Hanshaw & Villamana, P.C. Mr. Cox has practiced law in Arizona since 1977 and has extensive experience in a wide range of bankruptcy matters, including appeals. He represents creditors, trustees, examiners, creditors' committees and professionals in commercial and consumer cases of all types. Mr. Cox does represent debtors in consumer cases, as a debt relief agency, and he also handles select commercial cases for debtors. In addition to having a broad bankruptcy practice, he also handles a wide variety of creditors' rights matters, including prejudgment replevin, attachment and garnishments, and trustee's sales, along with mortgage, deed of trust and tax lien foreclosures. Mr. Lippman, along with his law partner, Stephen D. Burton, devote their entire practice to both retail and commercial debt collection, FDCPA defense, and complex insurance subrogation recovery. He has worked in the collection industry for more than 28 years. Mr. Lippman frequently instructs, lectures and writes about the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). He earned his bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, in electronic commerce from Northeastern University and his J.D. degree from Suffolk University Law School. MATTHEW DERSTINE is a partner at the law firm of Roshka DeWulf & Patten, PLC, where he focuses his practice in the area of commercial litigation. Mr. Derstine's commercial litigation practice covers sophisticated contract disputes, construction defect claims and payment disputes, secured transactions and sales governed by the Uniform Commercial Code, provisional remedies, commercial lending disputes, public utility issues and energy trading. He also has extensive experience representing secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy court. Mr. Derstine is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Commercial Law League of America, the American Bar Association (Forum on Construction; Business Law Section; Environment, Energy and Resources Section; Litigation Section), the State Bar of Arizona and the Maricopa County Bar Association. He earned his B.A. degree, with distinction, from the University of Arizona and his J.D. degree from Hastings College of Law. MARC S. GLADNER is a partner in the Phoenix law firm of Crosby & Gladner, P.C., where he practices in the areas of insurance subrogation and collections. He has previously lectured for National Business Institute on collections matters and other areas related to his practice. Mr. Gladner earned his J.D. degree from Southwestern University School of Law and attended the University of Colorado. RANDY NUSSBAUM is a founding member of Nussbaum & Gillis, P.C., a Scottsdale law firm specializing in bankruptcy, commercial litigation, and construction law.
