DIANE L. DRAIN is a sole practitioner in Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated from the University of Arizona Law School in 1985. In 1990, Ms. Drain left the large firm practice and established one of the first woman-owned "boutique" firms, marketing it as a "referral firm" focusing in the areas of bankruptcy and real property. She practices primarily in the areas of creditor and debtor bankruptcy rights and commercial real estate development, workout, foreclosure and trustee's sales. In 1993, Ms. Drain established a consulting service to assist other lawyers in law office organization, administration, computerization, client development and staff education. Since 1987, she has served as a faculty member in numerous county, state, national and professional seminars dealing in office management skills, bankruptcy and trustee's sale/foreclosure actions. Since 1988, Ms. Drain has been an instructor at the Arizona School of Real Estate, where she teaches legal theory classes in bankruptcy and foreclosure. She is an adjunct professor at the Phoenix School of Law, and has been a guest speaker at the Sandra Day O'Connor School of Law and James E. Rogers College of Law. Ms. Drain has been a member of the Arizona State Bar Board of Governors since 1998. She also is a member of the Bankruptcy Section, the Real Property Section and the Solo & Small Firm Section. Ms. Drain also was featured in the profiles section of the Arizona Business Gazette and on the cover of the Arizona Attorney magazine. She is a regular speaker for KTAR and Horizon, and is a regular contact for reporters of the Arizona Business Gazette, Arizona Republic and several other local newspapers. Ms. Drain's community activities include developing and managing a volunteer lawyer's program at the Bankruptcy Court, participation in the Volunteer's Lawyers Programs, Law Week, Legal Assistance for the Elderly and Volunteer Mediation Services. WALTER E. MOAK is an attorney with The Moak Law Firm, PLLC. He has been practicing law in Arizona for more than 30 years. Mr. Moak has tried legal cases in most of the counties in Arizona and has conducted more than 50 jury trials. He has served as the managing attorney of the Arizona office for the largest consumer bankruptcy firm in the nation. Mr. Moak holds a license as a real estate sales agent and has worked as a mortgage loan officer. He has a strong background as a consumer advocate protecting the rights of debtors and injury victims. Mr. Moak has been featured in national and regional media outlets. He is a member of the State Bar of Arizona, the Maricopa County Bar Association, American Bar Association, National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, Bankruptcy Academy and National Association of Virtual Bankruptcy Assistants. JOEL F. NEWELL is an attorney with Lane & Nach, P.C. Mr. Newell has been admitted in the state of Arizona and the District Court for the District of Arizona since 2007. He earned his J.D. degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he was an associate editor on the Thomas M. Cooley Journal of Practical and Clinical Law. Mr. Newell earned his undergraduate degree from Anderson University. His experience includes representing individuals and businesses in filing bankruptcy under Chapter 7, 11, and 13 Bankruptcy. Presently, Mr. Newell concentrates his practice in bankruptcy trustee's rights and creditor's rights. DOUGLAS B. PRICE is a member of Greeves, Price & Roethler, PLC, a firm dedicated to consumer bankruptcy, tax, business formation, plaintiff's personal injury and wills/probate and estate planning. Mr. Price earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from DePauw University and his J.D. degree from Temple University. He taught various law courses at Navajo Community College (nka Tsaile University, Tsaile, AZ) on the Navajo Reservation, Crownpoint, New Mexico. Mr. Price is an active member of the State Bar of Arizona and of the Small Firm subsection and the Bankruptcy subsection. He also is a member of the Arizona Association for Justice (fka the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association), a group of attorneys dedicated to protecting the rights of plaintiffs. Mr. Price hosts the monthly East Valley seminar of the Pugsie's group to address current legal issues and topics. GARY R. STICKELL is a sole practitioner in Phoenix. Mr. Stickell has been practicing law for 29 years and focuses his work in the area of consumer bankruptcy. He is a former assistant attorney general with the tax division of the Office of the Arizona Attorney General. Mr. Stickell is chair of the Consumer Debtor Committee of the State Bar of Arizona's Bankruptcy Section as well as a member of the Bar's Section on Family Law. He also is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. He earned his B.A. degree from George Washington University and his J.D. degree from Boston University.
