JAMES S. GIBSON is an attorney with the law firm Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LLP, where his practice focuses on real estate transactions; with an emphasis on purchase and sale transactions, commercial leasing; real estate secured loans; landbanking transactions; and the planning and development of commercial and residential properties. Mr. Gibson advises property owners, landlords, tenants, lenders, developers, homebuilders, investors and owners' associations in real estate issues including the preparation and negotiation of purchase/sale, lease and option contracts, loan documents, development agreements, CCRs, and contractor, broker and management agreements. Prior to his career in law, Mr. Gibson was involved in real estate research throughout southern Arizona as the land-use coordinator for the Grubb & Ellis Commercial Real Estate Company and as a researcher with the Drachman Institute for Land and Regional Development Studies in Tucson, Arizona. He earned his B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from The University of Arizona and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Gonzaga University. SCOTT A. MALM is a partner in the Phoenix office of Gust Rosenfeld P.L.C., where he handles litigation and dispute resolution for businesses and individuals. He advises and represents title insurance companies and their insureds, escrow companies and escrow agents, lenders, developers, brokers, contractors and similar clients. He has pursued clients' interests in trial and appellate courts at the state and federal level. Mr. Malm earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Arizona and his M.B.A. degree from the University of Wales, Cardiff Business School. He is a member of the State Bar of Arizona (member, Real Estate Law Advisory Commission 2005 - 2008) and is Judge Pro Tempore, Maricopa County Superior Courts (2005 - current). RICHARD M. MARSH is vice president and Arizona regional counsel for the Fidelity National Title Group (Chicago Title Insurance Company, Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company, Fidelity National Title Insurance Company and Security Title Agency). He practices in the area of title insurance. Mr. Marsh has spoken for numerous business and professional organizations on escrow, title insurance, foreclosure and mechanics' liens. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of California - Los Angeles and his J.D. degree from Southwestern University School of Law. Mr. Marsh is a member of the Arizona (member, Real Property Section), California (member, Real Property Section), Maricopa County (member, Real Property Section) and American (member, Real Property, Probate and Trust Section) bar associations. JOHN PAUL PARKS is a sole practitioner in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he practices in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, and business law. He has previously lectured on estate matters for professional groups, including the Southern California Tax and Estate Planning Forum, and National Business Institute. Mr. Parks is admitted to practice in Arizona, California, Florida and the District of Columbia . He earned his B.B.A. and J.D. degrees from Stetson University, and his LL.M. degree in taxation from the University of Miami. Mr. Parks is a member of the Scottsdale Bar Association, the Scottsdale Estate Planners and a former agent with the Attorneys' Title Insurance Fund, Inc. in Orlando, Florida. He was also the principal draftsman of the Florida Not-For-Profit Corporation Act that became effective in 1991. VICTOR RZEPECKI currently represents Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, as vice president - Arizona/Nevada state agency manager and underwriter. He has been actively engaged in the Arizona Title Insurance Industry for 34 years and represented several national title insurance underwriters, specializing in commercial title insurance risk assessment, title claims management, with a focus on solution-oriented underwriting. Mr. Rzepecki is an approved instructor by the Arizona Department of Real Estate and author of 3 ADRE Continued Education courses under real estate law. He has delivered more than 85 educational presentations to law firms, lenders and realtors, since his formal speaking program began in 1986. Mr. Rzepecki is a member of the American Land Title Association, Land Title Association of Arizona, Real Estate Educator's Association and Arizona Trustee's Association. He has written numerous articles, published locally and nationally, involving real estate and title insurance forms and practices.
