June 27 - Fayetteville LAUREN ADAMS started the Adams Law firm in 2009, and splits her time between her offices in Little Rock and Springdale. She has practiced in the areas of estate planning, probate, elder law and bankruptcy for the past 12 years. Ms. Adams is a graduate of the University of Arkansas Fayetteville School of Law and earned her under graduate degree from Hendrix College. Ms. Adams was named Pro Bono Attorney of the year in 2003 by Arkansas Volunteer Lawyers for the Elderly. She is admitted to practice before the Arkansas Bar and the Eastern and Western District of Arkansas Federal Bar. Ms. Adams serves on the Board of the Arkansas Skin Cancer Foundation. RICHARD F. HATFIELD is a partner in the Hatfield & Sayre Law Firm in Little Rock and Fayetteville. His practice involves litigation in probate, estates, and trusts. He has been a speaker on probate, trust and tax litigation numerous times and his publications include "11 Ways to Contest a Will (Hopefully Not One You Prepared)," and "Significant Developments in Probate & Trusts in the Past 25 Years," for The Arkansas Lawyer, January 1992. He was a Special Justice for the Arkansas Supreme Court in 1983 and 1990. He has served on the Supreme Court Committee on Professional Conduct from 1992 to 2005 and was Chair in 2005. He was named 2007 Regions Bank Southeastern Conference Business Hall of Fame Inductee Representing the University of Arkansas. BRENDA J. VASSAUR-TAYLOR is an estate planning and business attorney. Ms. Taylor practices law primarily in the areas of estate planning, business and tax law. She has gained significant experience in agricultural, elder and real estate law, and foresees her practice currently moving toward more business consulting and elder law litigation. Ms. Taylor is licensed to practice law in the state of Arkansas and before the U.S. Federal Courts. GRAYSON is a partner in the Arkansas law firm of Grayson & Grayson, P.A., where she practices in the areas of nursing home litigation, probate, estate planning and tax. She previously has spoken for various professional groups on estate planning techniques. Ms. Grayson has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, teaching communications, regulations and media law. She earned her B.A. degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and her J.D. degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law. Ms. Grayson is a member of the Arkansas and American bar associations, and the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association and VOCALS. SHERRILL NICOLOSI is a managing partner of the Hot Springs Village office of Farrar, Reis, Rowe, Nicolosi, Williams, Strause & McCrary, L.L.P. Her principal areas of practice are real estate, probate, trusts and estates, and estate planning. Ms. Nicolosi is the author of "Hot Springs Village Lawyer," a weekly newspaper column on legal topics including real estate and estate planning. Ms. Nicolosi received her B.A. degree, cum laude, from Hartwick College and her J.D. degree from South Texas College of Law. She is a member of the Garland County, Arkansas and American bar associations and the State Bar of Texas. CLAIBOURNE W. PATTY is principal attorney at Patty Law Firm, where his practice areas include bankruptcy and wills, estate planning and probate. Mr. Patty is a member of the Arkansas and Pulaski County bar associations and the VOCALS Legal Aid Committee. He was a member of the Arkansas Bar Association Probate and Trust sections, a committee that was formed to adopt the Uniform Trust Code into Arkansas Trust Code, 2004-2005. Mr. Patty lectured on "Anatomy of a Trust," for the 2007 mid-year bar meeting.
