LAURA DYER ELKINS is an attorney with Ball & Stuart PLLC. Ms. Elkins practice initially focused on real estate, as she represented title insurance underwriters and their agents and insureds in courts across the state, including the appeals process. Upon joining her current firm, Ball & Stuart PLLC, she began utilizing her real estate experience as a foundation for elder law issues. Ms. Elkins has since been through Medicaid planning training and assisted clients with both Medicaid and Veteran's Affairs benefits planning. She graduated, magna cum laude, from the University of Mississippi with her J.D. degree and from Delta State University with a B.A. degree. Ms. Elkins is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, a member of the real estate Section and the elder law Section and is a member of the Pulaski County Bar Association. She taught "Principles of Real Estate" as an adjunct professor for Ouachita Baptist University, has presented "Title Insurance Claims" at the Title Insurance Professionals Seminar (TIPS) and previously served on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Clark County. RAYMON B. HARVEY is an attorney in Little Rock, where he practices in the areas of elder law and special needs trusts. He is a frequent lecturer and has been a presenter at the Arkansas Federal Tax Institute, the Mid-South Conference on Estate Planning, the National Citizens' Coalition for Nursing Home Reform in Washington, D.C., the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, the Arkansas Bar Association and various local events. Mr. Harvey was a participant in the "Legal Issues of Older Adults" teleconference by the Arkansas Geriatric Education Center. He was a featured guest on Successful Aging with Dr. David series on AETN. Mr. Harvey is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Arkansas Bar Association, the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association, a board member and fellow of the Arkansas Gerontological Society and a charter member of the Special Needs Alliance. DENNIS K. WILSON is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law. He served as a law clerk for the Honorable Morris S. Arnold, Federal Appeals Court Judge, for the U.S. Court of Appeals, 8th Judicial Circuit. Before opening his own firm in 1996, Mr. Wilson practiced estate law with Miller, Looney & Associates of Little Rock, Arkansas. As a member of the Arkansas Bar Association (Estate and Trust sections), he has lectured extensively on estate planning, charitable gift planning, and elder law issues to attorneys, insurance professionals and other groups. Mr. Wilson is a member of the Arkansas Children's Hospital Professional Advisors Counsel, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Arkansas Bar Association Elder Law Legislative Review Committee and is one of small group of attorneys in Arkansas concentrating on elder law issues. He now practices statewide in the areas of estates, elder law, trusts, charitable gift planning and asset protection.
