J.G. "GERRY" SCHULZE is a partner with the Little Rock law firm of Baker Schulze & Murphy PLLC, where he practices in the areas of appellate law, plaintiffs' personal injury litigation, and civil and commercial litigation. Mr. Schulze is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. He also is a member of SCRIBES, which is an organization for legal writers. He was the institute chair for the Arkansas Bar Association Appellate Advocacy Institute in 1996 and 1997. He earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Loyola University and his J.D. degree, with high honors, from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. MELISSA M. SERFASS is the electronic resources and reference librarian and a professor of law librarianship at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law. She assists in teaching Westlaw, Lexis and Internet legal research to first year law students and maintains the law library web page. Ms. Serfass has served as a speaker at meetings of the American Association of Law Libraries, Mid-America Association of Law Libraries, Southwestern Association of Law Libraries and the Arkansas Library Association. She also serves as research editor of the Journal of Appellate Practice and Process. Ms. Serfass is the co-writer, with Jessie Wallace Burchfield, of an award-winning survey of federal and state rules about the precedential value of unpublished opinions that appeared in the Journal and also collaborated to write the Loislaw User's Guide. She earned her B.A. degree from Harding University, her M.A. degree from the University of South Florida and her J.D. degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law. Ms. Serfass is an active member of state, regional and national library associations. JUNE L. STEWART is the associate dean for technology services and director of the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law, Law Library. Ms. Stewart was previously at Gonzaga University Law Library in Spokane, where she was the director for six years and worked there previously for six years, first as head of public services and then as associate director. Between those six-year stints, Ms. Stewart established the law library at the newly founded Appalachian Law School in Virginia, where she was the director for three years. Law librarianship is a second career for Ms. Stewart. Her first job after college was for the Colorado Department of Welfare in their Denver location, working in child services. She earned her B.A. degree from the University of Colorado, and her J.D. and M.L.L. degrees from the University of Denver. Ms. Stewart is a member of the AALL and the Colorado Bar Association. JEFF B. WOODMANSEE is an information services specialist at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law UALR/Pulaski County Law Library, where he is in charge of all interlibrary loan and document delivery services, supervises the student library research assistants, oversees the faculty research projects, answers reference questions, drafts library policies and acts as a liaison for the local technical college paralegal program. Mr. Woodmansee is a member of the American Constitution Society, American Association of Law Libraries and the Southwestern Association of Law Libraries. He earned his B.S degree, with honors, from Missouri Southern State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. Mr. Woodmansee is a May 2011 candidate for his Master of Library and Information Science advanced library management certification from the University of North Texas Toulouse School of Graduate Studies.
