J. STUART McATEE is a partner at the law firm of Fields, McAtee, Lorant, LLC, where his practice is limited to civil litigation. He has taught continuing legal education seminars on automobile insurance law including uninsured motorist law and lemon law, and on general civil practice. Mr. McAtee is admitted to practice in the Northern, Middle and Southern districts of Alabama and is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association and the Alabama State Bar. He also is a member of the American and Alabama associations for Justice and is board-certified in civil trial advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He earned his B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of West Florida and his J.D. degree from the Birmingham School of Law. Mr. McAtee previously served as a law clerk to Honorable Tennant M. Smallwood, Jr. JUSTIN L. SMITH is an attorney in the Tuscaloosa law firm of Cross, Poole & Smith, LLC, where he practices exclusively in civil litigation (plaintiff's side). He earned his B.B.A. degree from the University of West Alabama and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law. Mr. Smith is a member of the Tuscaloosa and American bar associations, the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. ROBERT B. STEWART is a partner in the law firm of Smith, Spires & Peddy, P.C. Mr. Stewart practices primarily in the areas of insurance law, products liability, personal injury, industrial accidents, automotive accidents, trucking, banking, construction and commercial/transactional litigation. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1994, where he served as a senior editor on the Law and Psychology Review, was elected as the president of the International Law Society and was inducted into the bench and bar legal honor society. Mr. Stewart was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1994 and in 1996 he was admitted to The Mississippi Bar. DAVID WELLS is an attorney at the law firm of Whitaker, Mudd, Simms, Luke & Wells, L.L.C. Mr. Wells practices in the areas of insurance defense, professional liability, insurance coverage, trucking/transportation defense and appellate practice. He is admitted to the Alabama State Bar, the U.S. District Court, Northern and Middle districts of Alabama and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Alabama. Mr. Wells earned his B.A. degree from the College of William and Mary and his J.D. degree from Samford University Cumberland School of Law. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Birmingham and American bar associations, the Alabama Defense Lawyers' Association and the Defense Research Institute.
