December 1 - Huntsville C. ANTHONY GRAFFEO is an attorney at the Huntsville law firm of Watson Graffeo, P.C., where he concentrates on cases involving defective products such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals and automobiles; medical negligence cases such as delayed diagnosis of cancer, birth injuries and nursing home abuse; and premises liability cases involving dangerous and defective areas in restaurants, retail stores, hospitals, parking decks and other areas. He is a frequent lecturer at legal seminars and has had articles published in various legal journals. He was selected to the annual Super Lawyers List in the areas of medical malpractice and business litigation for 2011. HODGES is the principal of Hodges Trial Lawyers, P.C., where he primarily represents persons who have been injured or defrauded by the negligent conduct of corporations and other individuals. As a lawyer for injured persons, he has had the honor of representing the victims and survivors of 18-wheeler wrecks, car wrecks, motorcycle wrecks, nursing home abuse and neglect, defective and unsafe products, assault and battery, and other sources of personal injury. Mr. Hodges also handles civil litigation and has worked on lawsuits involving fraud, insurance bad faith, embezzlement, defamation, invasion of privacy, FCRA/FDCPA violations and breach of contract. HAROLD STEPHENS is a litigation partner in the Huntsville office of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP. For more than 20 years, he has handled a variety of civil litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels. A significant portion of Mr. Stephens' practice is devoted to the defense of professional malpractice claims, especially physicians and attorneys. He has defended and currently is handling a number of wrongful death cases in product liability, vehicle accident and medical malpractice claims. Mr. Stephens regularly serves as a mediator. He is a member of the Panel of Neutrals for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, and he is a charter member of the Alabama Academy of Attorney Mediators. CLAY ALSPAUGH is a partner in the law firm of Smith & Alspaugh P.C., where he practices in the areas of products liability, premises liability, fraud, medical malpractice, environmental law and toxic torts. He is a frequent speaker on continuing legal education programs on all facets of tort litigation. Mr. Alspaugh appears on the cable TV show People Law School. He earned his B.A. degree from Vanderbilt University and his J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. Mr. Alspaugh is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Birmingham and American bar associations, the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association, the Birmingham Bar Foundation, and The Association of Trial Lawyers of America. MARTIN BLOOM is a member of the Birmingham law firm of Ellis & Bloom, L.L.C., where he practices in the areas of civil litigation, products liability, insurance defense, medical malpractice defense, transportation, workers' compensation and workers' compensation defense.
