December 14 - Montgomery DOY LEALE MCCALL III is a member of the Montgomery law firm of Hill, Hill, Carter, Franco, Cole & Black, P.C., where he practices in general civil litigation, with an emphasis on insurance defense, fraud, municipal liability, appellate work and insurance coverage issues. Mr. McCall is a former judicial law clerk for the Honorable Hugh Maddox of the Alabama Supreme Court, and former staff attorney for the Honorable Charles Thigpen and the Honorable Sharon Yates of the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals. He has lectured to various professional groups on civil litigation, insurance law and other topics related to his areas of practice. Mr. McCall is a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar and the American Inns of Court. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of the South and his J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University. BRIAN MOSHOLDER is now a partner in the Montgomery law firm of Carpenter, Ingram & Mosholder, LLP, where he specializes in general liability, as both an insurance defense counsel and plaintiffs counsel, in state and federal courts. Mr. Mosholder also represents plaintiffs and defendants in workers' compensation cases. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Montgomery County Bar Association and the Lee County Bar. Mr. Mosholder is a frequent CLE lecturer and a certified mediator listed on the Alabama State Bar's Alternative Dispute Resolution website. He served four years in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps, during which time he was also appointed as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney. Mr. Mosholder attended Ohio University, where he graduated, summa cum laude, with degrees in finance and economics. He also attended Albany Law School of Union University in Albany, New York, where he graduated, cum laude, in 1991. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association, and is currently a member in good standing of both. DAVID L. VEAZEY is an attorney with the law firm Hale Sides & Akins LLC, where he practices primarily in municipal insurance defense litigation, trial preparation and policy coverage analysis, with additional practice in employer defense litigation of workers' compensation lawsuits. In addition to the State of Alabama, this practice is conducted in the federal courts of Alabama; the Northern and Middle districts; and involves a considerable practice in defense of Title VII, Section 1983, and related constitutional and tort claims levied against Alabama municipalities. He was an adjunct professor for the Birmingham School of Law. BRIGHT is an attorney with Klasing & Williamson PC, where he specializes in coverage analysis and defense litigation related to commercial/property/casualty insurance coverage law, commercial/property/casualty insurance litigation, bad faith litigation, construction defect litigation, personal injury litigation, premises liability and general litigation. Mr. Bright earned his J.D. degree from Samford University, Cumberland School of Law. SALTERis a partner in the Birmingham law firm of Starnes Davis Florie LLP, where his practice focuses on civil litigation. Mr. Salter primarily practices in the area of medical malpractice defense and direct representation of insurance companies. He has worked for insurance companies and private corporations in insurance matters, providing coverage opinions, as well as prosecuting declaratory judgment actions and defending breach of contract, bad faith and fraud suits. In the area of medical malpractice defense, Mr. Salter defends doctors, hospitals and other healthcare professionals. He has also handled cases in other areas including employment discrimination, ADA and identity theft. Mr. Salter has tried almost 50 medical malpractice cases to a jury verdict. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and is currently the Alabama representative to the national board of ABOTA.
