AMANDA L. CUTSHALL is an attorney in the Birmingham office of Carr Allison, where her practice is devoted to labor and employment, litigation and workers' compensation. Ms. Cutshall is admitted to the U.S. District Court and the Northern, Southern and Middle districts of Alabama. She is the junior editor of The Law and Psychology Review. Ms. Cutshall is an annual speaker on legal panels at Birmingham Southern College, speaks on workers' compensation law at ASIA Conferences and speaks for National Business Institute seminars. She is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association, the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute and the Alabama Self-Insurers Association. Ms. Cutshall earned her B.A. degree from Birmingham-Southern College and her J.D. degree from the University of Alabama School of Law. ANTHONY N. FOX is an attorney at the law firm of Scott, Sullivan, Streetman & Fox, P.C., where he practices in the areas of workers' compensation, labor and employment, insurance defense and insurance coverage. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar (Workers' Compensation Section), the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association and the Bar Association for the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Fox earned his B.A. degree from Maryville College and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University. JOSHUA G. HOLDEN is a partner with the Birmingham insurance defense law firm of Fish~Nelson, L.L.C. While at Mississippi College, he was a member of the Moot Court and Trial Competition team. He received the Robert Gillispie award in the Moot Court competition for "Best Oralist". Mr. Holden currently serves on the American Bar Association Workers' Compensation and Employers' Liability Committee. He also is a member in good standing with the Alabama State Bar, the Birmingham Bar Association, the Alabama Claims Association, the Alabama Workers' Compensation Organization, the West Alabama Workers' Compensation Organization, the Defense Research Institute, the Alabama Workers' Compensation Defense Lawyers Association, and the Alabama Defense Lawyers' Association. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Alabama. He earned his B.S. degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and his J.D. degree, with honors, from Mississippi College School of Law. DONALD B. KIRKPATRICK II is a founding shareholder of the law firm of Carr Allison, where he practices in the areas of workers' compensation, employment litigation and insurance defense. He is the co-chair of the Workers' Compensation section at the firm, and a past chair of the Workers' Compensation section of the Alabama State Bar. He is admitted to practice in Alabama and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Middle districts of Alabama, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Kirkpatrick has lectured for the Alabama Department of Industrial Relations and the Alabama Self-Insured Association. He was the student materials editor for The American Journal of Trial Advocacy. Mr. Kirkpatrick earned his B.A. degree from Auburn University and his J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar, the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association and the Defense Research Institute. SAMUEL MAPLES is the managing partner of the law firm of Maples and Jacobs, LLC, where he practices in the areas of workers' compensation, civil litigation and personal injury law. He is admitted to practice in the state of Alabama and before the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Alabama; the U.S. Court of Appeals, 5th Circuit; the District of Columbia; the U.S. Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit; and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Maples is the author of "A Mechanism for Enforcing the Right to Treatment: The Human Rights Committee" in the Law and Psychology Review. He was an instructor in contracts for Birmingham School of Law and he was a city attorney for the City of Graysville, Alabama. Mr. Maples earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Alabama. He is a member of the Birmingham and Bessemer bar associations, the Alabama State Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, the U.S. Supreme Court and the Alabama Association for Justice. THOMAS B. SHEROD is an attorney with Fields & Lorant, L.L.C., in Birmingham, Alabama, where his main areas of practice are workers' compensation and Social Security Disability. He is admitted to practice law in both Alabama and Florida. Mr. Sherod earned his B.S. and J.D. degrees from the University of Florida.
