December 20 - Mobile GREGORY M. FRIEDLANDER is the principal of Gregory M. Friedlander & Associates, P.C. in Mobile. Mr. Friedlander has been practicing bankruptcy law for more than 20 years and also practices in the area of intellectual property law. He is a regular speaker on bankruptcy matters before consumer groups and has lectured on intellectual property law to various professional organizations. Mr. Friedlander is a member of the Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section of the Alabama State Bar and the Bankruptcy Section of the Mobile Bar Association. He also is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association; The Mississippi Bar; and the U.S. Patent Bar, which allows him to practice in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Friedlander earned his B.S. degree from Lewis and Clark College and his J.D. degree from Tulane University of Louisiana. DAVID G. KENNEDY is an attorney with Wright, Green, P.C. in Mobile. Mr. Kennedy enjoys handling cases in a variety of areas, including insurance defense, premises liability, wills and estate planning, corporate transactions, commercial and residential construction litigation, medical malpractice, surety and bond defense, and immigration. He has partnered with numerous local businesses in strategic business and legal planning. Mr. Seawell earned his Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University. After conducting post-graduate studies in business at the University of South Alabama, he completed his J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law, Samford University in Birmingham. In the summer of 2006, Mr. Seawell began work with a civil litigation defense firm in Mobile, Alabama, where he remained until January of 2011. He has been involved in trials in a variety of cases in circuit and district courts in Alabama, as well as having spearheaded mediations and countless depositions. JARROD J. WHITE is a partner in Cabaniss, Johnston, Gardner, Dumas & O'Neal LLP, where he practices in the firm's Mobile office. His practice includes personal injury and consumer fraud actions, commercial and business litigation, product liability litigation, representation of insurers and insurance agencies, defenses of employers against worker's compensation and retaliatory discharge claims, arbitration disputes, and condominium law. He has extensive experience in complex construction litigation and disputes. Mr. White is licensed in both Alabama and Mississippi. Mr. White earned his undergraduate degree from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida and his law degree from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. December 21 - Birmingham STEVEN M. BROM is the managing member of The Brom Law Firm, LLC in Birmingham, where he practices in the areas of commercial litigation, business transactions, probate and estate planning. Mr. Brom is admitted to the Alabama State Bar; U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern districts of Alabama; U.S. Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit; and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Brom earned his A.B. degree in history from the University of Georgia and his J.D. degree from the University of Colorado School of Law. Mr. Brom has served the Alabama State Bar as a member of the Judicial Liaison, Unauthorized Practice of Law and Disciplinary committees and the Birmingham Bar Association as a member of the Budget and Public Service committees. RILEY is a paralegal with the law firm of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC in Birmingham, Alabama. She currently specializes in construction litigation, but previously worked in class action pharmaceutical cases and in trucking insurance defense litigation. Her job included researching and summarizing medical records and bills, preparing time lines of drug use and injuries, preparing depositions and outlines, meeting with experts, and assisting with trial preparation. She earned her B.A. degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana; her master's degree (MEd) from Vanderbilt University; and her paralegal certificate from Sullivan College in Kentucky. Ms. Riley has been awarded the designation of Certified Paralegal (CP) and Advanced Certified Paralegal in Discovery and Trial Preparation by the National Association of Legal Assistants.
