D J SIMONETTI is a partner with Burr & Forman LLP, where his practice concentrates in the areas of employee benefits and executive compensation, employer resources, corporate and business and health care law. He has received numerous recognitions, including being listed in The Best Lawyers in America; Chambers USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers; Alabama Super Lawyers; and Birmingham Business Journal's "Who's Who in Law & Accounting." In addition, Best Lawyers named him the Birmingham Best Lawyers Employee Benefits Lawyer of the Year for 2011. Mr. Simonetti is the former chairman for the Southern Employee Benefits Conference Communications Committee. He is also a member of the American and Birmingham bar associations. He earned his B.S. degree, cum laude, from the Wharton School University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University.
