GARTH C. K. MADISON is an appellate and litigation attorney. He has briefed and argued appeals in both the Illinois State Appellate Courts and the 7th Circuit. He also has prepared an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court. His trial work focuses on complex business litigation, employment law and professional liability. Matters Mr. Madison has handled include class actions, contract disputes, antitrust, hospital litigation, securities enforcement actions, qui tam litigation, IHRC hearings, retaliatory discharge, and attorney malpractice. He has extensive experience with electronic discovery and the federal rules regarding electronically stored information. Mr. Madison has tried a number of cases, providing a valuable perspective in his appellate work. He also brings an appellate perspective to trial motions that is highly valued by clients and trial attorneys. Mr. Madison has served at the Pro Bono AIDS clinic where he has argued custody hearings, drafted wills and filed disability appeals. He is admitted to the Illinois State Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar and the Virginia State Bar, and is admitted to practice in the U.S. Appellate Court of Appeals 7th Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois and the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia.
