MARGARET HUGHES VATH owns her own law firm, is an adjunct professor at Georgia State University College of Law, and is a board member of the Atlanta Bar Association and of The Junior League of Atlanta. A large part of her law practice is representing for-profit and non-profit corporations in corporate transactions, business formation and governance advice. She assists with interpreting and enforcing corporate governing documents and rules; meetings with directors and members; reviewing, revising and negotiating contracts; recommending preventative measures and changes to corporate practices; and revising governing legal documents and contracts to reduce legal exposure. She earned her B.A. degree, cum laude, from the University of Delaware and her J.D. degree from Villanova University School of Law. Ms. Vath is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association, the Community Associations Institute, The Junior League of Atlanta, the National Association of Parliamentarians and the Legal Writing Institute.
