Use fact patterns to better understand the estate administration process and quickly translate that information to your own cases Preparation of the estate and/or inheritance tax returns is critical in the administration of the estate, using the information obtained about assets, beneficiaries and liabilities. Receive a 'walk-through' of the tax return in order to discover how to organize estate information to assist in death tax preparation and reporting of the same, as well as preparation of a tax exhibit binder.

KAY M. SOWA is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor with the firm of Capehart & Scatchard, P.A. in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. She concentrates her practice in the areas of trust, estate and taxation. Ms. Sowa also is designated by the Internal Revenue Service as an enrolled agent. She is a frequent lecturer and was an adjunct professor at the Erie Business Institute, where she taught paralegal/legal secretarial classes. While the majority of her career has been focused on trust and estate administration and taxation, Ms. Sowa also worked for a software company, where she gained experience in the use and development of various trust, estate and tax software applications as a software trainer. She earned her associates degree from Bryant & Stratton Business Institute in Lawyers Assistant and her Paralegal Certificate at Penn State. Currently, Ms. Sowa is enrolled at Camden County College in pursuit of her degree in Finance. She also is on the board of directors for the Burlington County Board of Catholic Charities. Ms. Sowa is a member of the Burlington County, New Jersey, College - Paralegal Advisory Board, the National Association of Tax Professionals, the Institute for Paralegal Education and the Institute of Certified Bankers.
