NICHOLAS CARRIGAN is an associate attorney with Wealth Strategies Counsel, the transactional and estate planning department of Bohm, Matsen, Kegel & Aguilera, LLP. Mr. Carrigan's specific areas of practice include business formation, business and commercial transactions asset protection, as well as civil litigation. He has written and spoken on topics related to his areas of practice. Mr. Carrigan earned his B.A. degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and his J.D. degree from the University of California at Davis Mr. Carrigan is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, American Bar Association and State Bar of California. JEFFREY R. MATSEN is a partner in charge of the transactional and estate planning department of Bohm, Matsen, Kegel & Aguilera, LLP, encompassing business formations and transactional matters, estate planning, asset protection, probate, tax and real estate. For two consecutive years, he has been designated one of the nation's Top 100 Attorneys by Worth Magazine and one of Southern California's Super Lawyers by Los Angeles Magazine. Mr. Matsen is certified in business appraisal by the Professional Certification Board of the National Society of Appraisal Specialists. He has been an adjunct professor at Western State University College of Law, Golden Gate University and Chapman University School of Law. Mr. Matsen also has lectured to various professional groups on areas related to his practice, including limited liability companies, business entity formation and selection, asset protection techniques and other relevant topics. He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Brigham Young University and his J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of California at Los Angeles. Mr. Matsen is a member of the State Bar of California (member, Trusts and Probate Section), the Offshore Institute and the American Bar Association (member, Asset Protection Planning Section). He also is a faculty member and fellow of the Center for International Legal Studies in Salzburg, Austria.
