MATTHEW C. ABAD is an attorney with the law firm of Blommer Peterman, S.C. He is the head of operations for Indiana and Illinois. In addition to handling consumer lending and regulatory matters, such as Reg. Z and TILA, FACTA/FCRA, ECOA, Fair Lending Issues, UCC, and Servicemembers' Civil Relief Act (SCRA), the group also handles mortgage foreclosure, creditor protection in bankruptcy, deed-in-lieu, eviction, REO closings, litigation, class action litigation, title claims and clearance, collections and replevin of personal property. He is an active member of both the American Legal and Financial Network (ALFN) and the Legal League 100, and is a regular speaker/presenter for both organizations. Mr. Abad is a frequent panelist for the ALFN's bi-monthly Hot Topics in Litigation Webinars, speaking on issues that impact creditors and how to protect their rights in state and federal court. He is admitted to practice in the states of Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana and in the federal courts of all three states. Mr. Abad earned his B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and his J.D. degree from Marquette University Law School. ROY A. DIAZ is a shareholder of Smith, Hiatt & Diaz P.A. He received his B.A. degree at Florida International University and his J.D. degree at Nova Southeastern School of Law. He has been admitted to the Florida bar since 1988 and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. Mr. Diaz has concentrated his practice in the areas of real estate, litigation and bankruptcy. He has represented lenders, servicers, private investors and real estate developers since 1994. Earlier this year, Mr. Diaz, along with several other prominent law firms, founded Regions Default and Litigation Professionals. Regions is committed to serving the default industry with ethical representation and compassion for those that their work impacts. Regions also provides educational seminars to the default industry on the significant challenges that currently face their clients. JOHN A. DOONAN is a partner in the Salem, Massachusetts, law firm of Doonan, Graves, & Longoria, LLC. He attended Tufts University and Suffolk Law School. He graduated Suffolk Law School on the Dean's List, participated in the Voluntary Defenders Clinical Program, and worked for Boston's Mayor White. Mr. Doonan joined the Westchester County Attorney's Office where he prosecuted abuse and neglect cases. There, he gained the gratitude of hundreds of children, the respect of the bar as a talented litigator, and the friendship of Kevin Graves who would later become his law partner. John left the County Attorney's Office to begin his own practice in Salem, Massachusetts. The new practice grew quickly from one focused on residential real estate closings to a general business law firm with an emphasis on representing lenders, particularly large credit unions, during the economic downturn of the late eighties. Mr. Donnan continues to present vision for future business development. Mr. Doonan has navigated a course that has brought success to his clients, security and well-being to his employees, and growth to his business. On a daily basis, Mr. Doonan supervises both the Maine and the Massachusetts foreclosures, and conducts residential and commercial closings. He has litigated cases in state and federal courts throughout Massachusetts, Maine and New York. Earlier this year, Mr. Doonan, along with several other prominent law firms, founded Regions Default and Litigation Professionals. Regions also provides educational seminars to the default industry on the significant challenges that currently face their clients. JEFFREY B. FISHER is the founder and sole member of The Fisher Law Group, PLLC, located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. He attended undergraduate school at the University of Maryland and received his J.D. degree from the University of Maryland. Mr. Fisher is the foreclosure and bankruptcy attorney for several national and local mortgage loan servicers and banks for their loan servicing portfolios in the District of Columbia and in Maryland, regarding both residential and commercial transactions. Mr. Fisher is a frequent speaker, writer and presenter regarding foreclosure matters to national and local audiences. He serves as a consultant to the Standing Committee of the Rules of Practice and Procedure of the Maryland Court of Appeals. Mr. Fisher has effectively advocated industry positions to the Maryland General Assembly, and has recently made presentations to the Maryland State Conference of Circuit Court Judges and to the 7th Judicial Circuit of Maryland.
