ALAN M. ANDERSON practices in the areas of commercial and intellectual property litigation, and international arbitration. He specializes in intellectual property litigation, handling patent, trademark and copyright infringement cases, as well as trade secret and unfair competition matters. Mr. Anderson represents franchisors in franchise-related litigation and has successfully represented franchisors in litigation and arbitration proceedings. His arbitration experience also includes large commercial disputes in a variety of areas, especially internationally. He has litigated intellectual property actions involving diverse technologies, including medical devices, shape memory alloys, software, electronics and electrical systems, chemical de-icing compositions, agricultural equipment, snowmobile equipment and commercial refrigeration systems. Mr. Anderson earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Coe College, his M.B.A. degree, with distinction, from Cornell University, his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Cornell Law School, Cornell University, and his Certificate in International Business and Commercial Law from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific. MELANIE A. FULL is an attorney with Leonard, Street and Deinard in Minneapolis. Her practice focuses on class action, securities and consumer financial services litigation. Beginning her career at a large firm in Los Angeles, Ms. Full has broad national experience representing clients in a variety of complex litigation matters, including large consumer class actions, unfair competition claims, breach of contract and other business tort disputes. Additionally, she has been involved in numerous financial, insurance and securities-based disputes, including SEC investigations and FINRA arbitrations. Ms. Full also has experience with international and domestic white collar crime matters, including matters involving claims of trade secret misappropriation and obstruction of justice. She earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Colgate University and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame Law School. Ms. Full is admitted to practice in Minnesota and California, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of California and the Minnesota State Bar Association. MARY T. NOVACHECK is a partner with Bowman and Brooke LLP. Her practice focuses on the defense of clients on ESI issues in products liability, medical device and pharmaceutical litigation. Ms. Novacheck has worked extensively defending corporate clients in discovery and has served as national discovery coordinator for numerous clients involved in multi-plaintiff litigations. She utilizes the principles of the Sedona Conference and ascribes to the principles set forth in the Sedona Conference Cooperation Proclamation. Ms. Novacheck has first-chaired more than 50 lemon law and property damage cases, and second-chaired numerous cases involving catastrophic personal injuries for medical device, pharmaceutical, automotive, ATV and construction equipment manufacturers. She has worked extensively with FDA experts defending medical device clients and has represented clients in both state and federal appellate courts. Ms. Novacheck is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Defense Research Institute, Women in EDiscovery, Minnesota Women's Lawyers and the Hennepin County Bar Association.
