BARBARA J. MAY is a sole practitioner in Roseville, Minnesota, where she has practiced in bankruptcy and adversary litigation for more than 30 years. She is licensed to practice in Minnesota, Wisconsin, both Federal Courts and the 8th and 7th Circuits. Ms. May is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association (member: Bankruptcy Law Section and Family Law Section) and the State Bar of Wisconsin (member, Bankruptcy Law Section and Family Law Section). She was board certified as a Consumer Bankruptcy Law Specialist by the American Board of Certification in 2000, and has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys from 2002-2008. Ms. May restricts her practice to complex consumer Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 litigation, and lectures frequently on bankruptcy litigation matters. She earned her B.A. degree from Winona State University and her J.D. degree from Hamline University School of Law.
