When assisting with the purchase or sale of a small business, it is critical to understand the overall transaction from the purchase agreement to post-closing considerations. Better handle critical aspects of the purchase or sale by taking away practical advice on preparing disclosure schedules, assisting with due diligence reviews and investigations, and organizing and effecting a smooth closing.

MICHAEL J. MAHER is a real estate and business lawyer at the law firm of Hecht Solberg Robinson Goldberg & Bagley LLP, where his practice includes neighborhood and community retail and mixed-use centers; office and industrial park development, sales and leasing; purchases and sales of both improved and unimproved real property for a wide variety of uses, including residential development; reviewing and analyzing complex title-related matters; real estate financing; and advising a variety of businesses, including purchase and sale transactions, preparing entity documentation, reviewing franchise agreements, financing documents and leases of space and other contracts for day-to-day operations. Mr. Maher is a member of the State Bar of California (Real Property and Business Law sections) and is admitted to practice in California. He earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Baldwin-Wallace College and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Syracuse University.
