JENNIFER E. AMPULSKI is a medical technology claim specialist in the Technology Business Tort Claim Unit at Travelers Insurance. Her duties include management and resolution of bodily-injury and errors-and-omissions claims involving medical products, biotechnology or clinical trials. Ms. Ampulski provides counsel to internal business partners regarding litigation trends and legislative developments. She adds the legal viewpoint to strategic planning, new product development, training and marketing. Before joining Travelers, Ms. Ampulski was a partner at the Minneapolis law firm of Meagher & Geer, P.L.L.P. She spent 12 years as a trial lawyers handling complex civil litigation involving product liability, catastrophic loss, and commercial matters. Her clients include Fortune 50 pharmaceutical and industrial manufacturers and distributors. Ms. Ampulski is a graduate of the University of Michigan where she earned her B.A. degree in psychology and the University of Minnesota School of Law where she earned her J.D. degree, cum laude. Ms. Ampulski clerked for the Honorable Bruce D. Willis Minnesota Court of Appeals before entering private practice. Outside of work, she is a frequent legal analyst on Minnesota Public Radio. JENNEANE L. JANSEN focuses on appellate and significant motion practice, particularly in insurance coverage, insurance bad faith, and administrative law. She frequently teams with trial lawyers and general counsel, and has successfully represented parties in the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 7th, 8th, and 9th Circuits, as well as state and federal courts in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Montana, New Jersey,West Virginia, California, Washington, Michigan, Indiana, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, and Illinois. She has written or ghost-written appeals and significant motions in a huge variety of subject areas, including: administrative law, insurance law, construction law, medical malpractice defense, dental malpractice defense, attorney malpractice defense, professional and other licensing matters, criminal law, corporate governance, municipal law, school law, commercial litigation, and products liability litigation. She has been an appellate law clerk, worked for the appeals branch of the Minnesota State Public Defender's Office, and was a partner in an 80-attorney firm, where she spent 11 years in the appellate and insurance-coverage groups. She and partner Kris Palmer formed Jansen & Palmer, LLC in 2009. Ms. Jansen was selected to the Minnesota Super Lawyers each year from 2003 to present. She has also been listed on the Top 100 Women Minnesota Super Lawyers from 2005 to present. She is a member of the Douglas K. Amdahl Inn of Court; the Minnesota State Bar Association (Appellate Practice Section, chair 2003-2004); the Minnesota Women Lawyers; The Hennepin County Bar Association; and the American Bar Association. Ms. Jansen earned her B.A. degree from Swarthmore College and her J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota Law School. JEFFREY A. MUSZYNSKI is an attorney with the Minneapolis law firm of Lind, Jensen, Sullivan & Peterson, P.A., where his practice is concentrated in the areas of litigation, particularly in the areas of insurance defense and coverage. As a former law clerk for Judge Jill Flaskamp Halbrooks on the Minnesota Court of Appeals, he also focuses on appellate cases. Mr. Muszynski was a member of the Rosalie Wahl Moot Court Team at William Mitchell College of Law, and worked as a research assistant for Dean Eric Janus and professor Raleigh Levine with an emphasis on defamation claims against media sources. Before law school, he was a high school teacher and educator in Boston, Massachusetts and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, teaching writing and literature; and has taken his love of reading and writing with him to his practice. He recently spoke at the MDLA 44th Annual Mid-Winter Conference in 2009 on Practice Tips for Dealing with Expert Witnesses. Mr. Muszynski is admitted to practice in Minnesota and the U.S. District Court for the Districts of Minnesota and Wisconsin. He earned his B.S. degree, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law. Mr. Muszynski is a member of the American Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Ramsey County Bar Association. SCOTT WILSON is a sole practitioner in Shorewood, Minnesota, where his practice is focused in the area of litigation services featuring high quality appellate and complex litigation advocacy, backed by 28 years in practice including the prosecution and defense of complex tort and insurance coverage claims. He is also a research attorney with the Legal Research Center in Minneapolis. Mr. Wilson earned his A.B. degree, in psychology, from Duke University and his J.D. degree from the Washington University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit; the Supreme Court of the State of Minnesota; and the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. Mr. Wilson is a member of the Minnesota Association for Justice (member, MnAJ Amicus Committee) and the Minnesota State Bar Association (member, Appellate and Litigation sections).
